The next task is connected with social workers, who cooperate with the disabled families. I would like to find out how difficult is to work with this families and describe how to help and proceed the prevention. The theoretical part deals with families, disability, beginning of psychosomatical problems, options of prevention and how to solve them. The empirical part presents acquired data, summary and answers on research questions. The research was qualitative, data were acquired while interview, the method of data processing was qualitative content analysis. The results show that it was very traumatical for parents to accept the fact about their child diagnosis. The health of family members was affected due to the exhausting care. Parents often perceive the negative approach to their-selves. They don't have enough information about the disability and other help. This bachelor thesis could be useful for society and familes as a source of information. It could help doctors and social workers as well. It could show them that taking care of these children is very difficult and the emotional part should't be forgotten. Society, doctors and social workes should think about parents as very important people. To live in these conditions is not easy and it is necessary to have time for their-selves.

The theoretical part deals with the concept of disability, its characteristics and classification and the classification and characteristics of visual-, mental-, and hearing disability. Another component of the theoretical part is the characteristics of the Jindřichův Hradec area and the definition of the concept of a physical leisure time activity. The practical part of this thesis focuses on the very research done in the Jindřichův Hradec area. The research survey was done in a form of a questionnaire survey. 22 Trainers, 15 children with disabilities, 30 intact children, 15 parents of disabled children and 5 Directors took part on the research survey. Research assumptions "that the offer of leisure time physical activities for children with different types of disability is sufficient" were not confirmed. Although 100 % of trainers of leisure-time physical activities hold opinion that children with disabilities should definitely have an opportunity to integrate into leisure-time physical activities, but 55 % of them cannot offer to children with disabilities the option of integration. It is also due the fact that 40 % of trainers have no sports qualification. Intact children as well as children with disabilities are for integration of children with disabilities into leisure time physical activities. The same is true also for parents of children with disabilities who even do not insist on special sports qualification of trainers.

'We're such a normal family, only we have that Jamie' System approach to studying families with a handicapped child
Mičínová, Veronika ; Hájek, Martin (advisor) ; Volek, Martin (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the problems of family coexistence in families with a handicapped child. It discusses how the disability of the child manifests itself in the life of the family as a whole and in the lives of every single family member. The first part presents actual findings about families with a child with disability, submits both negative and positive impacts of such coexistence on individual family members, namely on parents, siblings and grandparents. Subsequently it introduces a system approach to studying a family, which understands the family as a complex comprised of interacting units. The research reveals that order and organization in the light of time and division of labor or responsibilities are important factors in the life of such families. On that account it is necessary to define individual family roles properly, which helps ensuring stability and functionality of a family system. Further it comes to conclusion that due to the presence of a handicapped child, changes in the organization of the family system occur; the child turns into a sort of a family center to which others adapt. A child with disability occupies a special status of 'member - non member', because it can be situated neither into basic family subsystems nor into subsystems based on gender. The...
The attitude and the role of siblings of children with strong mental handicaps in a family.
TŮMOVÁ, Gabriela
This dissertation is focused onthe role of siblings of children with severe health disability and the position they take within a family. The main objective was to find out what role and position healthy children and their siblings with disability take with each other. I decided to focus my main research questionon "If & howthe role and position of a healthy sibling towards a sibling with a severe health disabilitytransformed during adolescence". The theoretical part of the dissertation focuses on the family, its function, upbringing styles and types of contemporary families. Furthermore I also focused on health disability. I defined a physical and mental disability, identified the difference between congenital disability and disability gained during life. I also looked in depth into cerebral palsy. Apart from this disability I also briefly looked into neuromuscular and other muscular diseases and orthopaedic disability. The next part of my theoretical study concerned a family with a disabled child. Here I focused on the very important process of coming to terms with the birth of a child with disability as described by well-known Swiss- American doctor Elisabeth Kübler-Ross. Last but not least I looked at siblings of a child with a disability, their inter-relationship withthe disabled child and how the child copes with their impairment. Considering the number of respondents and openness of the questions I have opted for qualitative research. This consisted of eight respondents whom I know personally and were willing to participate in my research. Data collection took place by means of prepared questionnaires that I sent by e-mail. All respondents were made aware ofthe topic of my dissertation, its objective, research question and that anonymity would be provided on the information given in questionnaires about which some of them had inquired. I opted for questionnaires because some of the respondents were currently overseasor due to various other reasons were not able to meet in person. I asked open questions hence, without the option of choosing an answer. That way the respondents had completely unrestricted opportunity to express their opinion. This dissertation could be beneficial to the siblings of children with a severe health disability themselves who could see this issue from theperspective of other siblings. It could also help parents of children with a health disability to realise how this issue is perceived by a healthy sibling.
